Store all your passwords in one place
I work in the field of software development, and one of my duties is to help out in technical support.
Everyday we receive several support emails about one and the same topic which come up again and again.
It is along the lines of the following:
'I have forgotten my password to enter the program. What do I do?'
I am astonishing quite how many people suffer from this lost password syndrome. Worst of all, it is more often than not a pain to restore it. We need the details that the users entered when they first setup the password, and sometimes the client cannot not recall this information either. This can lead to long drawn out problems, endless emails back and forth, and a lot of time wasted.
Passwords are the easiest thing in the world to lose or forgot, and can be one of the most annoying things to retrieve.
A favorite password forgetting experience for me, is when I need to log into a site, but have forgotten the password, so try to re-register, but am blocked from doing so because I have already registered using my email address; and I need to give a valid email to verify the registration. It all leads to one thing; I have forgotten the password, and now I cannot use the site at all (unless I inconveniently open a new email).
Their are at least one or two some passwords that are firmly established in my brain, as I have used them since my childhood (the password I used on my locker is the same one I use now for my bank card!). However, these are thin pickings compared to the big picture.
As passwords are used so regularly, they need to be close to hand. However, by definition, they need to be secure from the prying of snoopers. It is also important that they are organized for easy access on demand.
There is a software program that has been designed to satisfy all of these requirements. It is called PortaWhiz Info Manager, and it offers you the ideal place to store your passwords.
Lets quickly examine the points made above, and see how this program can help you:
Close to hand: PortaWhiz Info Manager works on your Pocket PC and on your desktop. This means that where ever you are and what ever you are doing, you will be able to get a password.
Secure from prying snoopers: PortaWhiz Info Manager uses a very secure encryption system to keep your passwords safe from any snoopers. You get a single user log-in so that you, and only you, can enter the program.
Organized for easy access: PortaWhiz Info Manager enables you to file your passwords and other information into bundles. These can then be titled, and so subsequently the information can be retrieved in a flash.
This program is highly recommend to anybody who needs a one stop information safe to store and organize their passwords, and other personal and sensitive information. To find out more please goto www.portawhiz.com.
